Dr. Michael S. Chen graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University and was selected for Phi Beta Kappa. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He then completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Chen finished his general cardiology fellowship and interventional cardiology and peripheral interventional fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic. He is an interventional cardiologist who performs both coronary interventions as well as peripheral interventions. Dr. Chen is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Internal Medicine. He is chair of cardiology at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. He also serves on the Medical Executive Committee at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.
