Dr. Billingsley is an interventional cardiologist at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) in Ontario, Canada. The centre is unique as a remote, stand-alone angioplasty programme providing interventional cardiology services to a region the size of France.
Dr. Billingsley completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at McGill University in Montreal before going on to study medicine at The Queen’s University School of Medicine at Kingston. He undertook postgraduate medicine studies in internal medicine and cardiology at the University of Toronto followed by an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. He pursued further fellowship training in interventional cardiology at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia. Dr. Billingsley worked as a staff interventional cardiologist in Auckland, New Zealand, before returning to Canada
